Twelve Canyon Explorers met at the Bishop Park Group Campground located at 8400 ft. elevation, about three miles below Lake Sabrina. Monday morning we grouped at 8:00 am and car pooled 2.4 miles to the trail head just below Lake Sabrina. The destination was Blue Lake 4.6 miles, 1320 ft of elevation gain. Tue. morning everyone did the day "their way" to hike. The next day some people enjoyed leftover fruit salad and cheesecake for breakfast. some people going to for more hiking or four wheel exploring in the area. For all of us, great memories of backpacks horse pack trips etc. where relived by this special few days in the sierras.
